Could Pain in Legs Be Polymyalgia Rheumatica?

Re. Polymyalgia Rheumatica

I have read all the posts in this section with great interest!

I’ve had pain in my left upper leg for a couple of months now. Not acute, more annoying. Right leg pain is barely noticeable. I exercise a lot (I’m 75) .... walk 12,000 steps a day, ride my indoor bike three to four times a week and workout three times a week with my trainer.

My own feeling is that this is muscle overuse through over exercise.

My doctor did blood tests. C-RP is fine. Rheumatism markers are fine. SED is slightly elevated at 50. I’m sure my legs are inflamed. Doctor thinks it’s PMR and wants me to see a specialist. I have no pain elsewhere and feel pretty fit. No other symptoms.

I feel that I need to give this a few months to see if the legs will heal naturally. I’m definitely not going to take Prednisone.

My question is: can one have PMR just with pain in the legs?
