Order of Treatment for Adrenal Fatigue, Thyroid

Posted By Esprit64 (Somewhere, Northeast USA) on 03/05/2013

My understanding in treating Adrenal Fatigue is one of three choices for most people:

#1. Use of DHEA
#2. Use of adrenal support products (having the typical combinations of ingredients, which, vary from product to product)
#3. Use of Glandulars, best if porcine (pig)

Any Adrenal Gland issue must be treated BEFORE using Dessicated Thyroid in treatment of a Hypothyroid, or, both glands treated at the same time.

However, if one is suffering with a hormonal cancer, like of the breast or prostate, how is the treatment of the Adrenal Gland and Hypothyroid done? Or, is it just the hormones for the Adrenal Gland treatment that cannot be used if cancer is present. Hormones for the Thyroid OK?

Is the treatment for the Adrenal Gland a lifetime need, or, is there some point that the Adrenal Gland is cured and can do its thing on its own.

Thanks for any help.

Hi, This is an important topic which is overlooked and underestimated by a lot of 'experts'. First of all we get stressed through work, home, illness or all of these. Then we get very tired because our adrenals are out so we drink coffee or caffeinated pick up drinks then use alcohol in the evenings to wind down. If you really need a coffee in the morning to get you going or you crave a glass of wine or 2 in the evenings to relax then your adrenals are off. If you can't get out of bed in the mornings but are awake at night your adrenals are off. If you wear sunglasses when it's cloudy because the light is too much it means your eyes are slow to react to changes and that's caused by adrenals. If you need a quick symptom fix then take b50 and maybe b3 too twice a day for a week with extra vitamin c. But really if you have other symptoms like Estrogen dominance- very common symtoms are extremely heavy periods then your endocrine system is out of balance and this is an early warning sign before worse symptoms like cancer.

You may have Gallbladder symptoms too. These are all connected because your liver and your gallbladder need to process good fats- omega 3s to make sure the endocrine system works in balance if you have taken in too much bad oil- Trans fat, alcohol, hormone supplements, strong pain killer drugs etc then your system may be clogged up and so not working properly. Your thyroid will not be able to function properly so your symptoms snowball. Instead of quick fixes like iodine or dhea you need to look at what you are consuming- stop consuming vegetable oils and trans fats. Once you start using omega3 oils like flax oil and or fish oil you will feel and see the difference- your endocrine system will rebalance including you thyroid and adrenals. Hope that helps
