Nothing working for heavy menstruation

Posted By Jess (Melbourne, Australia) on 12/23/2012

Hi everyone, I have written on this site many times asking for help and I have tried so many remedies but nothing seems to be working for my heavy menstrual bleeding and cramps. I tried blackstrap molasses unsulphured for 3 months, 1 tsp in coffee or milk 2 times a day and that didn't work and then I tried apple cider vinegar with the mother 2tsp with water 2 times a day for four months and that didn't work either, and I would use both of these remedies together on days where I felt really desperate and nothing has changed, my periods are still long and heavy and even more painful now. I also tried magnesium supplements but that made my cramps worse and I ended up in hospital.

I went on the pill before and the side effects were too harsh for my body and has affected me emotionally and physically and so is my period. I feel helpless and I don't know what else to do. These remedies have worked for so many people why arn't they working for me, is there something wrong with me? I don't want to go back on the pill and suffer but either way nothing is working for me and I'm suffering. Please someone help me and help me understand why nothing is working for me?

Hi Jess from Melbourne, Australia:

Couple of suggestions...

1. Start juicing green veggies everyday. Cucumber, celery, parsley, ginger and lemon is my daily to-go juice (16 oz) which has helped me tremendously with reducing heavy bleeding and duration.

2. Eat more raw foods during your cycle.

3. 2 tablespoon of good quality cinnamon powder (mixed in hot water, or yogurt) will immediately reduce your bleeding. Give that a try the heavier days of your period. That is a big savior for me. Also note that quantity of cinnamon at a given time is * only for tough days, not all days of your cycle.

I hope this helps, if you need more guidance please email me at things3give[at]yahoo.com

Good luck,

Tina

I used cayenne pepper 2 pills and two hours after took another 2, wait to see how it looks after 2 hours. The problem is if you take 2 more your period will go away until the next month, I did this so many times, and never failed.

Try this:

1- take few raw black pepper corns, say about 4, and about a quarter of inch of dried ginger, crush them do not make it in powder form, boil them in a cup of water until the water remains half, strain and drink it on every alternate day for a month

Hope this helps.

Hi Tina, I don't eat very healthy because I don't have the time or money since fruits and vegetables are so expensive these days, I do eat a lot of fish maybe once a week and I will look for cinnamon powder but I'm not sure if we have it here in Australia or where I can find it but I will try your remedy, thank you Tina.

Hi Isabel if I can find cayenne pepper tablets I will try it and if I wanted to stop menstruating all together will cayenne pepper do the trick because I will like to stop menstruating. If I can find this product I will try it thank you Isabel.

Hi Isabel I did a lot of research about cayenne pepper and found out a lot and how it can help menstrual cramps and bleeding so I tried it but found it very difficult to take since it's so strong so I only took 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper in a glass of water 2-3 times a day, which I heard is better than taking it in capsules. It did help a lot with the cramps and pain, I could manage the pain a lot better and at first I felt like it was helping with the bleeding but now it has gotten so much worse. I'm bleeding more I mean why is this happening?
