Nothing helps my fibromyalgia pain

Posted By Idaho Son (Caldwell, Id - Idaho) on 08/10/2012

I have Fibromyalgia type pain where all my muscles, tendons, ligaments, tissue hurts and am always fatigued. I have tried ACV, ACV with Baking Soda, Ginger Root, Turmeric, Pulsed electromagntic therapy and Zapping and yet nothing helps me. I have had every blood, urine and saliva test and Doctors want to put me on pain medication which I don't want. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Hi, So sorry to hear of your pain. My daughter had the same problem with severe pain from fibro. She used mangosteen juice, the expensive brand. You can only buy from a person who sells it, but could find it online. You could try a cheaper brand and see if it helps. She said also that raw foods and sugar aggravated her condition. Steamed veges were best. Now that her pain is under control she uses fibrovive, made by the Thorne company (also can be ordered online). it mostly improves her energy level. The other thing for pain is the yoga video by Gaiam - do this while in pain, as it helps the muscles. God's blessings to you. I have prayed for you today!

There was a recent article in the UK written by a doctor who cured herself of Fibro by using a low oxalate diet. Since the article came out, the Yahoo low Oxalate group has had about 100 new members join. This site also has a copy of the article in the file section. From the posts on this LO group, high Oxalate crystals can lodge just about anywhere in the body and be the cause of a host of ailments. Lowering the amount consumed can bring relief to everything from Fibro, vulvar pain, autism behaviors, bladder problems, etc. Some unlucky people also produce them in their own bodies and there are supplements, like biotin, the methyl B vitamins, magnesium citrate and a probiotic that degrades oxalates (VSL#3) that can be useful. Ironically, foods that we associate with eating healthfully, like spinach, almonds and beets, contain some of the highest Oxalate levels. It might be worth considering. Best wishes!

I am sorry that you are in such pain - please Google EFT for fibromyalgia - videos - there are quite a lot of them - just do on yourself what the persons in the videos are doing. I hope you will find this helpful. Good luck.

ahhhh, let's change the title here---Nothing Helps changes to Soon I Will Find Something.....While I have not been diagnosed with fibromyalgia, I know my way around chronic pain, and severe fatigue. It's so hard to convince someone without the condition how bad it is. All systems fail under the strain, one cannot get out of bed for the fatigue and no amount of rest will get a handle on it. I had excellent results with something you should try. I used Slippery Elm Tea with tremendous result. Having had a painful bakers cyst to the right knee, I was out of commisssion basically for two and half months. Elevating, heating pad, cold compresses, castor oil packs, nothing worked.

In utter frustration, I was going to make compresses of the Slippery Elm teabags, but the store I went to had only caps, not any of the tea. I used the caps, three and four at a time over a day and half period, every four hours. Into the next day, while being perfectly still with my leg elevated behind the knee, I felt the cyst "break up"---I all but heard it, something broke the "capsule" of the bakers cyst--which, when you think of it is like an internal water blister, a reaction to a stress, like a water blister only inside. The timing is too exquisite for it not to have been the slippery elm. Two and half months of blinding pain, and it was released in a short day and half of use of slippery elm caps.

After hundreds of dollars of tests and xrays, all that the orthopedist could offer was a cortisone like shot which I didn't want. I tried in desparation, slipery elm and it worked to break up the cyst. What else is this stuff good for, I thought. The Cayce readings suggest it for diverticulious, the slippery elm coats the stomach and intestines. I believe that part of constant pain of fibromylgia, is the stress and pull of the organs... That's what it feels like, a rubber band being pulled as far as it will go.... Try slippery elm tea. You would drink it for the taste of it.... Pleasant taste, I don't need sugar or honey, it is a light gold color, and a pleasant taste to it. Try it for a week, two or three cups a day. You'll know why they call it slippery elm when you squeeze a used teabag at the bottom of the used cup---it's really slippery when you go to squeeze out the residue of the bag. You've just ingested the tea, and it will do the same thing in the body.

I recommended it to a co-worker who, oddly enough, stated that she had a bowel movement once every ten days for years and years. It's more common than one would think, I've been told. She had relief, and goes daily now that she has been using slipppery elm tea. Going so infrequently was probably a "learned response" for the body. She retrained herself with the help of slippery elm tea. Hard to believe that something so easy works so well. It's readily available in any well-stocked grocery store or health food store.

Have you had your thyroid checked? I had fibromyalgia-like pains in my back muscles that have gotten better since I started on nature-throid (desiccated thyroid medication). Also, have you tested for Lyme disease? Some people believe that CFS and FM are really Lyme. I just recently tested positive for Lyme disease and I believe that has caused my thyroid problems and everything that goes along with that.

Try juicing... Watch the movie 'fat, sick and nearly dead'.

Find the group on facebook called Juicer:) and join them. Ton of folks in there who have been relieved of fibromyalgia doing juicing. It is unreal.

Good luck, T

I've decided I can't live in this much pain any longer. Nor on my own without a soul to talk to ever because you're all covered in chemicals. I dont' want to be homeless anymore. Thank you for the support I did get on here. It made being electricuted by a computer sort of worth it. If NAET or EFT is curing people then I dont' have fms. I can't juice because I cant hold & cut up veges - how could you if you're in this much pain? Diet makes little difference. My list of things Ive tried is humungus, not room for it here. I feel very alone when I read of remedies helping people. I still take them, at least these weren't too expensive. Done with all the doctors, specialists, expensive rubbish off the internet. Done with all of it. 20 yrs of torture is enough.

Hi Robyn, find the source what causes the fibromyalgia. Chances are there can be flouride poison too? Why don't you try Tamarind Juice you can see the difference in 3 days if it is because of Flouride.

We ingest Flouride like hell starting from the morning from the toothpaste, Tea, bathing water, driinking water etc. this may help.

Robyn, have you tried hot mineral baths or clay baths, sweating??? Surely a message of essentials oils would also benefit, although I suppose you have tried this also. Something must bring some relief. How about Castor Oil, Coconut Oil??? Magnets??? Cold Showers??? A swim in the ocean??? Have you positively identified all underlying causes??? If you can in any way procure some amino acid GABA take 1 grm before retiring for a good night's sleep, as well as boosting the pituitary to release HGH which could potentially help the whole body. The herb Valerian works good w/ the GABA.

Not everyone here on E.C. gets resolve, and some pass on to a better place. I am having a very difficult battle w/ chronic illness that's been going on for many yrs. My time and resources are limited and I have very little real hope of any lasting improvement. I am bracing myself for the worst, yet remain somewhat optimistic. After reading NDE's for a few yrs, I have become tremendously encouraged. Many people report that even a few moments of "eternal peace" or experience the "glory" of the higher kingdoms is enough to laugh at even a lifetime of suffering. After reading these experiences the reference point begins to shift away from the painful flesh and toward the blissful spirit. You can suffer many more yrs mate, because of a better afterlife, but I am hoping you will find some relief now, anyways.

I suggest that you try Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous. I first ordered it for heel spurs, and it has helped tremendously. The accompanying brochure says that it really helps fibromyalgia pain as well as bone spurs. Calcium Aspartate Anhydrous is 92% absorbable compared to calcium carbonate which is only about 8% absorbable. I take it for osteoporosis, also. It is a white powder, and I mix it in juice. It is practically tasteless, so you don't have to worry about bad taste. It also comes in capsules. Good luck!

Dear Robyn, PLEASE DON'T GIVE UP! Is there a ministry in Australia that could give you a place to live? This would be the very first step to help you feel safe and so you could focus on your severe need. God loves you and has a plan for you. Ask Him to lead you to people who will love and help you. Physical healing is real through Jesus Christ and there ARE people who will love you and help you. I will search for a ministry there. I forgot to mention in my earlier post that the mangosteen juice brand is Xango - it is sold in Australia. You are my special prayer today! If you would like, email me at lovelald(at)ntelos.net.

I have a CD and DVD with testimonials of individuals who have conquered their fibromyalgia pain and resumed a normal life by using green barley juice and other products from a company ______. One lady was a registered nurse and was on disability and bedridden before the barley juice and other products. The other ended up winning second in a worldwide bodybuilding contest as well as becoming a fitness instructor and personal trainer several years after beginning this nutrition regimen. I will be happy to send you a copy of the CD or DVD if you will email me your address. I have taken this product for 16 years and it has done wonderful things for my health and stamina. You don't have to be this sick. Nutrition works. Use the words "green barley" in the subject line so I know you are coming from Earth Clinic. Thank you Earth Clinic for such a wonderful website. Hi Robyn, if you have not tried IODINE, please give it a try, you would probably need at least 50mg/day and watch for detox symptoms. Iodine is required by every cell in the body, we are just not getting near enough. It has changed my life in many ways, like nothing else. Love and Gratitude.

I am allergic to barley. I have tried many other greens I dont think Im allergic to; spirulina, chlorella, wheat grass 3 yrs taking these - still no change. Fibro is just a label. yes, many have got better or at least a bit better around me while I continue to suffer. I know many that haven't too. It is very frustrating to wish you were dead every day for 20 yrs whilst others get better from a bit of acv. We are not all the same. I would be severely ill if I took barley grass. Besides that there was so many other things going on, adrenals have died, liver isn't working. Taking some barley grass isn't going to fix those but thanks for the thought.

Lisa, no. I'm not homeless because I'm so broke, its because I'm so allergic. I can't breathe, pain in my body increases to unbearable when I am where there is carpet, paint on the walls etc, near a computer, Like now. I will run out of here screaming & it will last for hours then back down to the already pain I can't bear. I have tried all churches, charities, they just made me worse, used up any energy I had but were not in the least interested in helping me sending my self esteem further down. They are quite happy for me to die in a car. A couple of govt houses were shown to me but had mould or a really toxic floor, were far worse than anything I had rented myself. I would just rather be dead than ever smell someone's deodorant ever again. thanks for your thoughts.

Mmsg, you wont even believe this. The bay/ocean doubles the body pain, I cant breathe, then start balling. I guess it's the humidity. If youre going to be ill wouldn't it be nicer to have a view of the ocean but I will never be able to look at the real sea or go swimming again. I have to go now, somebody has walked past with a strong deodorant. Now I'm really sick.

Robyn, being that real sea salt is so restorative, I'm wondering if you can test a bit just soaking a finger or a foot in salt with that grey salt to sea if you can tolerate it. Maybe it's something in the ocean other than the salt that is no good for you. If you CAN tolerate the salt, I've heard there are such things called "salt chambers" or something like that, that might be healing for you.

Robyn, it's me again, sorry to bug you so much! You mentioned overload of calcium and just today I was looking up on how to disolve calcifications in the body. What I found so far is: magnesium, vitamin D3 (sunlight), vitamin K2 and ACV. Only thing is, I think you have already tried all of these....

Hi Robyn, I hope you're hanging in there. I see lots of people are responding to you. You must realize that people do care... Look at the responses! I think the salt caves sound like something to look into. See if you can find them in your area. As we know the ocean is not the pristine water it once was so perhaps, it is something else in there that you are reacting to considering how sensitive you are. I know a salt chamber just opened, not long ago, here in my area and I have been meaning to get there but with all that I already do, yikes, where do I fit that in?!

One other thing, did you ever get back to the stem cell therapy idea. I know you said there was a waiting list and I said to at least get yourself on there. Were you able to do that? You never said anything about that.

I know that you feel at a place of hopelessness and I know that feeling... I have been there. Know that you are in people's prayers and thoughts and as one person suggested, focus on what you are grateful for even if it is only a few things for now. I know it's hard to do when you feel so much pain and that can lead to cynicism. I worked at that technique and amazingly, the more you do it the longer the list begins to grow. Anyway, you are in my thoughts! Sending you good vibrations... Lisa

Yes, thanks everyone for the responses. I was a naturally positive person & I have tried everything anyone ever suggested to me with great excitement but alas I was mostly barking up the wrong tree. No much how I would look for good things that wasnt going to help my liver, adrenals, thyroid if I had no idea they were failing and continue to be exposed to things Im allergic to. Stem cells - spoke to your people. I would not make a trip like that. Ive found a place in Oz but they must have a long waiting list. Im going back to the 3 heavy duty antibiotics pulsing in a 4th. No natural remedies has ever helped. I still take them of course but really if they were going to work they should have by now. Ive looked up the low oxalate diet and will try that too. Something better work soon. Ive just had enough. Having anaphalactic reactions all day long everyday is just too much.

mmsg, yes tried all of those. Someone posted about oxalate foods and fms. I was eating loads of beans for the k2. They are also high in oxalates. Also eating everything else high in oxalates. The other things though bill also nudged me about some time back so I kept going with them. Although, no less symptomatic I dont have the brain aneurysm or very advanced calcified brain arteries as I did. The lab checked my first pictures again they were so surprised. You're not bugging me.

Robyn, I might be the one person on here that states, "I know how you feel". Living with pain, fatigue, etc. Everyday is not easy, and many times I have felt the same way as you wrote. Basically you've had enough and are considering giving up. I have considered it many times but for some reason each time I do I end up getting myself a pet to love. I just adopted two kittens from a rescue organization, so obviously I can't give up now because they need me to stick around. There is a reason you are still here as there is with me. These kittens needed my care and love and in return I receive love from them. I too have tried so many things to feel better but they haven't worked, plus I was in the Gulf War in 1991 and wonder if it all started then. So far my country has also done little to help me, which is just another disappointment. Some of us may never find something to help us and continuously trying new things is draining, physically, emotionally and financially. I recommend you finding a purpose, something to live for or something to love. It doesn't make the symptoms go away, but it makes them not the only thing in your life and therefore gives you a reason to stick around. Hang in there and remember that you're not alone.

I strongly recommend trying multiple homeopathic remedies until you find one that helps you. I never would have believed I'd be completely cured with homeopathic remedies, but with one dose, 95% of my pain was gone. Another remedy got rid of the last 5%. I needed to keep taking them for a few days to stay pain free, then it simply never came back.

The funny thing is, I'm one of those people who has been helped by and believes in homeopathy. But the pain was so extreme and so relentless I just never would have believed I'd be cure by just finding the right remedies.

Google homeopathic remedies for fibromyalgia and read the symptoms. That's how I found the right one for me. Ruta Graveolens 200c is what I ended up taking with Arnica Montana 200c. But there are probably a dozen possibilities that are likely the right remedy for you.
