Nothing Helping Eczema

Posted By Neon (Singapore) on 10/23/2012

I am 18 and has been suffering from it all of my life. The eczema now is extremely red, on my hands, neck, legs, body and face. Basically everywhere. And it is the dry skin.

I would say my diet is rather healthy. I'm a pescotarian and I eat lots of fruits and avoid those processed food. Initially, when I cut out meat, my skin was really good but the initial paleness just subsides.

I am currently on TCM for a few months now. The senseh said my body is no longer heaty but it is still weird why I'm red. I think it's working with regards to the itchy problem but it's not healing the inflammation? I did apply espon salt on my neck and hands. It works only on my neck; just made my hands even redder. I'm planning on trying omega three oil again. ACV did not work for me. Olive oil did not improve it. Neither did coconut oil. All those remedies seem here don't work for me :(

I don't understand why the eczema is flaring so badly. I have those chicken pox skin on my chest, upper arms and legs. It is spreading too, on my face. I was hoping you could help.

Hi Neon, I had terrible issues with eczema and rashes for a long time. It was Chinese medicine that changed that for me. I know you say you have been taking TCM for a couple of months and that you are seeing some improvement. Is your Dr giving you herbs? I found that it was the Chinese herbs from an herbalist that helped the most. Not just acupuncture. Also, each week I would go back to be checked and he would sometimes change up my herbs according to what my body's state was in. After two months I would think you'd see more of a change. Perhaps, question why it isn't being fully resolved. Hope this helps, Lisa

Neon, try cutting down on fruit (have them in the mornings) and upping the vegetables, the none starchy ones.

Thanks for your comments!

My medicine is actually those powder form, not needing to boil like the really traditional type. I Haven't tried the acupuncture yet. But the sensei also seem unsure why it's still very red.

But my skin is much better now. Maybe it's the apples that I cannot eat... My skin really knows how to scream and shout. Hah.

I realised that Aloe Vera gel is really good. And I'm taking Alaskan Fish oil at least 2 a day having 1000mg per capsule. How long do you think it would take to see results?

Why no starchy vegetables though?
