Need treatment for leg ulcer

Posted By Neri (Victoria, Australia) on 12/26/2014

I'm looking for a remedy for leg ulcer, possibly bairnsdale / buruli. For the last ulcer I was given a topical treatment that made it worse!

Dear Neri,

The first thing I would try would be a charcoal poultice. I would use one for a couple of hours during the day and another one overnight.

I would also take a teaspoon of activated charcoal powder in a glass of water on an empty stomach once a day. Just don't take it two hours before or after any medications.

It might be be good also to take vitamin c while you are healing.

Let us know how it goes.

As a PS to my last post, I would try the charcoal poultice and drinks for several days and if you are seeing any improvement, continue until you are healed.

Hi Neri, colloidal silver is well known to be effective for bacterial infections. You could take it internally as well as apply it to the ulcer and surounding area. We make our own and what l would do is make a strong batch and wet a piece of an old cotton sheet with the cs and lay it over the ulcer and leave it on for an hour. Keep the cloth wet by adding a little more cs every few mins or so. Yes an old towel under the leg is a must. Done twice a day and l think you will be supprised with the results.

It would also pay to build your immune system up as it is thought that this is a contributing factor. All the best, God bless

I have healed such ulcers for my companion, and the main ingredient is colloidal silver, I use this as a very fine spray one to several times a day.

Often I use bandages non-stick type to place over.

Other immune system support such as golden seal which helps to deter the staph infections.

Good luck as this is a treatable condition.

Look for collagen supplements to support and rebuild the skin, supporting the then skin area at risk.

HI U TONIOMD, , , , , , , , , , a couple of thoughts, one start hydrogen peroxide IV's. And two, do ozone bagging of her foot. Either, will get oxygen to the problem. Research what I say and make your decision. Myself, I would do both..... right now.

What you are describing is trench foot.

Perhaps manuka honey would help heal the wound.

I read a very interesting article in the Daily Mail about a man who used sugar to heal his leg ulcers. If you google 'Daily Mail, leg ulcers, sugar' you will find the article.

Hope it is helpful to you.
