This jellyfish-like thing formed halfway across my eye in a matter of months--NOT over the course of many years! I do believe it is a myth that it is ONLY caused from many years of sun damage.
Surgery is not an option for me for me right now. (Too much to write...) I am losing my vision in my left eye. I went from no lesion to a huge lesion within a year.
I remember, not too long ago, burning my eye with something. I had gotten something in it and it burned worse than ever before. I cannot remember what got in my eye.
I also immediately experienced much distress in my eyes when I went on Paxil. I have a number of things that I often wonder may have caused it.
Also, I f you have had surgery for this, please tell me what it is REALLY like.
Any and all input or help is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, just wondering how you went with your pterygium? I have one in my right eye and a pinguecula in my left. You mentioned Paxil, that's an antidepressant, 2 years ago I was on escitalopram for a while and low and behold I have developed this, it happened to my friend also. The thing is though, my friends has gone. The only thing different she has done is take 1 spirulina per day 1000mg, she takes one magnesium and a vitamin c daily. Plus she has been skipping breakfast and eating at 1pm till 9pm so eating for 8 fasting for 16 hours. I don't know if this helped (spirulina is supposed to be great for the eyes and detoxing the liver, I was on it a long time ago but had a reaction after a while I may try again at a low dose one with dinner 3 times per week.
