Hi, my son has just got Dengue and yes the doctor has kept his fever in control but his platelets have dropped down and am worried, checking on the net for remedies. Found the Papaya leaf and tried it today, just hoping he starts recovering.

If you have some more information to help me, please do write to me Urgently!!

Dear Susie,

I know it is hard to cope when your baby is sick. Have you tried the remedies listed here at EC? https://www.earthclinic.com/cures/dengue.html#rn

Barley grass helps maintain a healthy platelet count while goldenseal cures the virus. Ho nam peh lo and mangagaw are Chinese herbs that cure dengue and support platelet levels as well. Neem, papaya and sweet potato leaves also treat the condition and its symptoms. if they don't sell these things in India, then order them online. You can pay extra to have things shipped immediately thru Amazon.com

I would also be sure to give him probiotics (good bacteria) after giving him goldenseal or any other herbs or antibiotics. Goldenseal and antibiotics kill the good bacteria we have in our intestines. So it would be important to replenish those afterwards. I always use the Body Ecology Kefir starter and Veggies Culture starters with great success. You can culture your own milk, coconut water or veggies.

I had dengue when I was in Puerto Rico. Took a lot of vit.C, like 30,000 mg/daily. Mixed clay with apple juice and for some reason, I took copper-can't remember the reasoning behind it.
