Really Need Help for Gastritis

Posted By Denise (San Rafael, California) on 08/29/2021

Hi, I've had difficult digestion and a very painful body for years. I have a long complicated history. part of it was being prescribed to take aspirin, then baby aspirin, then ecotrin to avoid stroke after a surgery. That messed up my gastrointestinal system. I've been taking Omeprazole for years, I've been wanting to get off of it for years, but I don't know how to improve my digestion and sensitive gastric stomach. I've tried various things like slippery elm, marshmallow root, DGL, and others. They help a little but just don't get me there. Then there are other things that I've tried such as blackstrap molasses...very upsetting to the stomach. I'm not able to digest large amounts of vegetables, or large salads.

I've tested my saliva and urine and I'm on the acidic side. I do think that alkalinizing the body would help me, but using apple cider vinegar or any of the baking soda plus lemon or lime all are very irritating to my stomach, even starting very very slowly just doesn't work for me.

Is there someone who is knowledgeable about gastritis who could help me?

Thanks much, Denise

Denise, my brother has Crohn's, a gi disorder. He takes kefir I make every day. Once I was sick and didn't make it for a week and he ended up in hospital.

Start with 1/4 cup first thing in the morning, building slowly up to a cup. I would try again the slippery elm and mallow, it can take a month of use before one starts to see benefits, depending on how severe the condition is.

Best to you.

Tina, thank you so much! For your kind reply to my question about gastritis! I will go back to marshmallow, that's a great idea.... I'll try adding some alkalizing as well.

Sincerely, Denise

i will do gentle tapping on my stomach, back, chest etc of your body. The purpose is to make you ‘burp’

Ask someone to press your back first while doing the pressing try to burp . Do it many times until burping become easy .

Thank you for your reply, Elsa. I'm not currently able to use ACV or betaine, but I'll see what I can do with your other suggestions.

Long term treatment- Slippery Elm Bark powder (1 tsp with myrhh (1/2 tsp) and goldenseal powder (1/2 tsp) mixed in warm cup of water. First thing in morning ...wait half an hour before eating. Three times a day.

Multidophilus, Activated Charcoal for a week, Aloe Vera juice inner filet.

Family member with inflammation in the upper intestines saw quick results with above treatment.

After diagnosis and while taking above items she water fasted, then fruits for a couple of days (you could probably do smoothies also). When she started eating she avoided dairy, wheat and meat. Just a lot of fruits, steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Blessings
