Seeking Holistic Doctors in Michigan for Rare Multicentric Castleman Diseas

Posted By Stevel (Cheboygan, Mi) on 01/31/2016

My brother was recently diagnosed with Multicentric Castleman Disease (MCD). He has began taking the Dr. recommended treatments. I'm searching for holistic doctors in Michigan that may be able to provide alternatives that will help him. Any replies from people who have experiences in this subject are greatly appreciated.

I have not studied holistic alternatives, but I have dedicated my life to advancing research and treatments for Castleman disease. I highly recommend your loved ones connect with the Castleman Disease Collaborative Network (www.CDCN.org) to find an expert with lots of experience treating Castleman disease. It's as common as ALS and the most deadly subtype is more deadly than lymphoma, but it is not well understood by the medical community because research has been lacking until recently--so it is urgently important to find an experienced doctor for them.

Who has your brother seen to date? Not many physicians have experience with this disease. My physician does have experience with Castleman. Where does he live? We are located in Lansing.
