Any Natural Remedies That Can Cure Insulin Resistance?

Posted By Eve (Sydney) on 12/26/2015

Has anyone had success in curing Insulin Resistance? My 22 year old son has it. Our naturopath identified it through his low Vit D Hydroxy 25 blood test results and it's really hard to increase the level.

it's not hard to increase vitamin d level, start the vit d3 supplements under physician's supervision. Usually, it takes 1-2mnths to achieve the desired level.

Try intermittent fasting, and leave out all grains, until the condition has been reversed.

I hope this bumps the topic from 2015 because this is the biggest discovery I've ever made regarding my health issues, and curing many of them already. I only discovered Insulin Resistance (IR) through Youtube videos while trying to find "fixes" for my newly diagnosed T2 Diabetes. I found how to cut out the carbs (lower them) and eat more protein, and fats (YES, fats! Good healthy fats). I've lost 15 lbs the healthy way and it's taken me 5 months of being right on with my foods, but a bit lacking in my exercise. Usually only 2 times a week, for 30 minutes.

IR is something I am learning more about now, and realize I have probably had it for maybe, most of my life. I am 68 now. My doctors I've had over the years never once told me I was pre-diabetic, maybe because they never checked, and I've never been told I need an Insulin lab done. Conventional medicine does not usually call for that as far as I know. I believe the Insulin Resistance is the beginning, and Type 2 Diabetes is one result of having it.

More later if anyone is interested.

Yes, the best thing I have found is chaga mushroom extract. The 100x extract on amazon is very cheap. Take a half to a whole gram of that before meals. It is very safe so you can take more as needed. It works instantly to sensitize the cells to insulin if you take the right dose at the right time.

However, it is much better to simply eat healthier and remove most carbs, especially simple ones, from your diet.

But for special occasions like parties, good to predose with chaga if you have a tendency to become insulin resistant.
