Dear Julie,
Many years ago my dad woke up and had lost hearing in one ear. The ENT discovered that he had a significant blockage in the carotid artery. He thought that was why he lost hearing. My dad had the artery cleaned out. His hearing didn't come back, but, if I recall correctly, the ENT thought the sudden hearing loss was related to the blockage. My dad lived to be a ripe old age after that procedure.
I don't mean to be an alarmist, but, any sudden hearing loss ought to be checked out by a doctor I think.
If all is clear from the ENT's perspective, try some of the remedies on the ear infection page on this site.

Hi Julie, I have ears issues myself, & I have tried, MMS or CDS,
BY JIM HUMBLE, & DR. ANDREAS KLACKER,
I use it as a - "GAS", I put it in a "shot glass" and you hold it up to your EAR for 3 to 5 minutes,
It seems to work for me with a great deal maybe you should try it.
You can look up the
"universal Antidote" they have a channel on the, Telegram app,
Good luck, & GOD BLESS,
🙏🙏👍🏻👍🏻
