Dear Hema:
Try an Acupressure Anti Headache Band (I can't say the company name). It places in your hand on a special acupuncture point that gets a pressure from a small nipple, and is very comfortable. Mi mother avoids a persistent daily migraine using it.
Good luck.Replied by Cassi2 (Houston, Tx) on 05/26/2009
i feel sorry for you for these kind of headaches. my first question is have you figured out your triggers - mine are from hormones. i am currently seeing a chiropractor to get my neck fixed because that can be a huge cause of these headaches. also accupuncture has helped me in the past with the nausea and the headaches. but these work together for the best results. as for the ACV - there are different combinations and it depends on what your body can handle. i drink it twice a day with 2 teaspoons of ACV with 8-10 ounces of water and some local honey to sweeten. it will take time to cleanse your system. in the mean time i may suggest getting some sea-band wrist bands - they help with the nausea and are not drugs. i am hoping that the ACV will cleanse my body and put me in better internal balance.Replied by Anonymous (Aoj, Nk) on 05/26/2009
I used to get migraines once every week. And I used to take pain killers (just over the counter medicine) a lot. Then I came across this site and started using ACV. I take 2 TBSP of ACV in a tall glass, then I add 1/4 TSP baking soda, and I fill the glass up with water. I keep sipping this mixture all day long. I used to make 8 Oz of this mix. and used to drink all at once in the morning. Later on, I read somewhere on this site that its better to sip all day long rather than drinking all at once. Hope this helps!Replied by Ginny (Boise, Idaho) on 05/26/2009
When my pregnant daughter's migraine headaches became a problem, my sister told me about apple cider vinegar and tomato juice as a remedy. She told me to use at least 2 tablespoons in an 8 oz serving of tomato juice. She also said that if more vinegar could be tolerated (up to 1/4 cup), even better. My daughter reported that this remedy worked for her and I have used it myself with great results. I highly recommend headache sufferers try this. Better yet, drink it regularly to keep headaches away. Apple cider vinegar is very cleansing and tomato juice has vitamin C and other good properties.Replied by Anonymous (Anonymousville, USA) on 05/27/2009

"When faced with a migraine that won't respond to treatment, many headache specialists will give an injection of magnesium. You should be able to get benefits from long term (2-3 months or more) regular magnesium supplements. The magnesium migraines link may make a big difference to many people.
