I have a new client who has been suffering from Demodex mites for almost a year now. She recently asked if a bedbug-proof mattress cover will keep the mites out of her mattress. From what I can see from the research I have conducted so far I don't think the covers would work on demodex or sarcoptic mites as they are MUCH smaller than the dust mites and bedbugs that these mattress and furniture covers say they offer protection from. Does anyone have a definitive answer? I want to give her the most accurate information that I can get. Does anyone here have a better way to protect her mattresses and furniture. She steams all furniture daily, but the stuffing seems to be a natural harbor for those little buggers. Thank you for any and all information you can share.
