Looking for natural treatment for seizures

Posted By Katt (Calgary Ab CA) on 10/21/2014

Hello everyone, this is my first time on here. And I was just reading thru some of the articles you have all put here. I have had seizures since I was about 3 and I am now 44. still with seizures. Luckily my meds have been able to control the amount of seizures I have but not CURED! I have petite mal seizures using Dilantin 300 mg daily all my life. I would love to find a way to actually cure it the natural way. I am a little overweight now and have issues with my bowels. Somehow I think it might be in relation to my meds over the years. I just came back form the docs office; he is going to send me to a gastroenterologist. The wait is 6 months and he didn't ask if I have any other symptoms, to test for anything else. I am not very happy with the docs here. Not sure what to do from here.....

Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Ketogenic Diet - if you have nothing against eating fatty and oily stuff, and are willing to cut down carb and pull out your sweet tooth.

Your doctor will never tell you that! Visit Charlie's Foundation online to answer your questions.

HI U KATT, , , , , , , , , , , , , , ,

Been there and done that. Started having sizures in my early 30's ( in the 70's) and a Neuro Dr. put me on Dilantin. Went everywhere, Mayo's , etc. to no avail. Finally in about 1985 I went to another neurologst and he told me that using Dilantin was like using a cannon to kill a fly. He put me on Xanax and my seizures went away. When I retired and my stress went away, then so did Xanax.

Dilantin will mess you up big time. Try to get off that drug. See an new doctor or something. Stress is a killer, and it can be self imposed.

My advice is to detox from ass to appetite. Then see where you are. Also talk to the Lord. He's the main man , as you know.
