Lichen planus pigmentosus left marks on face neck

Posted By Rose (Bangalore, India) on 04/03/2012

Hi, I am 26 and identified with lichen planus pigmentosus. My Doctor has prescribed topical corticosteroid, hydroquinone cream and Suncros Sunscreen. So this like a morning cream, night cream and a day cream, which I should repeat every 4 hrs (the sunscreen). I find myself spending a lot of time on creams. After 1 month of treatment I find that my skin as a whole has improved, but not much changes to the marks on the neck and face. I also take an Oxidon plus tablet on a daily basis. The side effect is that, now I have lots of pimples on my neck. Should I continue this treatment? Plz advise me...

I just ordered sulpher tablets because that's what doctors gave me when I was a kid, whenever I got sores, I hope it works. Will post back on that. Nothing else I've tried has worked, like antibiotics, neosporin, calamine, salt bath. I decided to go to work inside to boost my immune system and enjoy foods or drinks that are antioxidents. Good luck - i'll be back to let you know how that works!
