Camouchie,

Melatonin has shown benefit for this purpose and is discussed here :

https://www.casi.org/node/875

Here is a relevant quote from the article :

' It has been shown to help normalize the circadian rhythm of blood pressure and mitigates nocturnal hypertension in hypertensive men and women receiving antihypertensive treatment. Furthermore, melatonin is shown to help to improve the left ventricular function in heart failure patients with reduced ejection fraction. '

Camouchie,

For some reason my second reply to you got lost and instead my first reply posted twice. In any case, I forgot to mention one other supplement you may want to consider for improving left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF)% and that is Astaxanthin as discussed here:

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7353230/

Here is a relevant study quote :

' Following 3-month astaxanthin supplementation, dROM level decreased from 385.6 ± 82.6 U.CARR to 346.5 ± 56.9 U.CARR (p = 0.041) despite no changes in BAP and urinary 8-OHdG levels. LVEF increased from 34.1 ± 8.6% to 38.0 ± 10.0% (p = 0.031) and 6MWD increased from 393.4 ± 95.9 m to 432.8 ± 93.3 m (p = 0.023). '

If Ejection Fraction is related in any way to the overall strength of the heart I would recommend trying along term dosing schedule of the herb Arjuna. It is reputed to ease many heart related symptoms as well as aiding the heart to become healed and stronger. This is not a short term fix and then you are done. This is a lifestyle change but is can yield significant benefits. Arjuna is easily available on the web and I get mine from Amazon. I am not sure if I can list the brand name in this reply but if you need to ask send me an email. Remember, this is a slow moving benefit that accumulates over months but plan on taking this for possibly the rest of your life. Luckily Arjuna is reputed to have no side effects and that has been my experience for the last 3 months that I have been taking it. Good luck with your search for improving your health.
