Is Morgellons Contagious?

Posted By Hope (Louisville, KY) on 02/15/2022

Is Magellan’s disease contagious? I haven’t seen my son in several months and have made excuses canceling our weekends because I’m terrified that he could catch this terrible condition and destroy his life and bright future. I’m heartbroken. Are there ways to ensure it wouldn’t spread during a visit if it is, in fact, contagious?

Yea it is my bf has it now and a guy I met a year and a half ago for an hour has it. I'm in a very rural area moved here when I already had it there five people that I know of (and I don't know many ) that have it since. I was told no and this is what happens.

My guess is yes! Definitely seems like it is considering how dermatologists/doctors treat patients who present symptoms of it! I literally had a dermatologist who acted terrified of coming closer than 5ft away from me after his medical assistant told him my symptoms. Never have I seen a dermatologist who refused to touch or look at my skin and sat across the room the entire appointment. And then when I left the room I saw/heard him shuffle around quickly so I creeped around the corner and watched him grab gloves and a cavicide wipe to wipe the chair I sat in down?!? A DOCTOR! Taking the time to sanitize/clean something?! I've worked in the medical field for 11 years and that is NOT EVER HEARD OF. I think he knew exactly what this disease is but wouldn't actually tell me/treat me for it. Instead he just through a bunch of steroid creams at me hoping I'd leave and not come back.
