IS IT NORMAL TO HURT THIS BAD W/ APPLE CIDER VINEGAR USE FOR ATHLETE'S FOOT

Posted By Sunnyflorida (Florida, Usa) on 01/28/2012

I've sufferered with athletes foot only on one foot since I was small, for the last few years it spread to moccasin on my heal. For the last 6 months I have been using lamasil which cleared everything else except the moccasin. Last night I filed it as usual and used the apple cider vinegar. For the first 20 minutes it was fine then it started to really burn and was undescribably painful. I left it in another 10 minutes, let it dry on its own and as suggested moisturised, I used organic shea butter.

For the next 5 hours it was excruciatingly painful, so much so I couldn't sleep, its now 9 hours later and it's still so painful I can't walk on it. I can't see any cracks now and the skin where the moccasin is has gone white. I've given birth to 3 kids naturally so I know pain and this was close, I had to bite on something like I did in labour. This was unbearable, I tried putting my foot in a bowl of freezing water after about an hour of pain but it made no difference. My question is , is this normal and is it a sign of healing. I'm now dreading my next Apple Cider Vinegar soak this evening but if I know it's working then I will bear it. Any advice would be great, thanks.

UPDATE, I did the soak the next day, it was really painful again but nowhere as painfull as the first day and only burned for just over an hour after rather than 12. Its like I could feel the ACV killing the fungas. It felt like someone was pinching the inside of my foot with tweezers all around my heel really really hard. Anyway today my foot looks so much better I can hardly believe it. The cracks are way better and the skins not as thick. I thought about diluting the ACV but I want to get rid of it as fast as possible. The lamisil cream that I have been using for months on it did nothing. I will update again tomorrow although I'm really not looking forward to the soak but no gain without pain they say :)

Hi SunnyFlorida, You do know that Apple Cider Vinegar is an acid? Sounds like you are using really strong stuff... Acid burns. Hope it worked anyway!! Mat
