There are so many things this could be and I suspect your doctor fears "getting it wrong".
If it was me, the first thing I would do is test it myself to see if it might be something psychological or, even, spiritual and to test that, I would go with EFT. For several reason but I will only give you one which is that I've had a couple of experiences - though not recently - where I knew exactly what someone's health issue was, for no apparent reason, and both times, that was accompanied by inner "vibrations" and I have zero explanation for that, other than something...strange.
The reason I would go with EFT is because, regardless of what it is, it will help with the first word that jumped out at me in your post which was "uncertain". Another reason I would start there is because an EFT practitioner is trained to not interfere with or be..."jolted" by anything that might come up. Plus, if it is something physical, you'll have a way of supporting yourself which I think is a tremendously beneficial and useful aspect of EFT.
Let's face it. When it comes to fear or confusion or "uncertainty" in a patient, male doctors are pretty useless. So, if you didn't want to see what EFT might bring up, I would seek out a female doctor. And anyone who knows me would be shocked to hear me say something like that because...ya know...doctors aren't exactly my favorite people. Nevertheless, if you want something more "on the nose", and despite my hesitancy in mentioning it, you could search the term, "resting tremors" and decide where to go from there..
