I have requested for daughter with bladder issues

Hello,

I came across your website when I was trying to find a massage therapist who specializes in perineum-vaginal massage for my 25 year old daughters.

Her problem has become quite a mystery to solve. She's had off and on bladder problems since the age of 12. Diagnosed with a tentative Interstitial Cystitis at age 12; feeling of full sensation, discomfort before peeing and after, some pain which subsided. The urologist did a cystoscopy and distention and put her on pyridium. Symptoms subsided over a short period of time. She was relatively symptom-free for about 6 years until the age of 19. Suffered an emotional breakdown and was hospitalized. Same years she experienced a severe uti and treated with different antibiotics. Around the age of 23 she had retention which lasted well over a year. The retention went away but left her with a "full bladder sensation".

She's had this feeling 24/7 for the past year. Strangely, there have been moments when she's felt "normal" and didn't feel this sensation. But it would return 3-5 minutes later. There were other moments during the past year when there was temporary relief only. No medications have worked. Minimal physio has been tried. There appears to be a problem, according to an Osteopath we saw recently with her sphincter muscle and that there appears to be some irritation with the perineum muscle.

We are looking for someone in Toronto who is experienced and knows how to do perineum-vaginal massage. Does anyone know of a practitioner?

Much appreciated.

Hello Dew,

I just saw your post re your daughter and that you're seeking a massage specialist to try re her problem. If you don't mind a suggestion which is not on point to your direct question but may help...what you described sounds like a long lasting viral infection. Even down to the UTI. And "full bladder" feeling etc, sounds in the arena of virus. Based on what you describe, and if nothing more, I wouldn't suspect fungus but might be. Anyway, I would suggest Colloidal Silver, my very favorite anti microbe. If this is an infection it has been there a while and might have had a bacterial component based on your description; but now the virus has taken over. If my child, I'd experiment with CS, three tablespoons three times daily away from mineral supplements and taken on empty stomach. IF the problem is a virus, then the CS will relieve the "full bladder" in three days or so; thus you will know the issue is truly a virus and using the CS would be a rational method of dealing with it.

I went through this for two years. Alkaline drops to put in water has cured mine everytime it creeps back. I put 25 drops in a water bottle. I have to drink about three of them to get relief. I was on all the meds to. This is the best relief for me.

Hello Fountain Inn!

Thanks a lot for your reply. I am still very interested in knowing myself if my daughter can be tested for any underlying bacterial infection. But I was told by a few people that a blood test would reveal any infection. I didn't think that any kind of bacterial strains showed up in blood necessarily, I thought it was through urine tests. And after reading through a number of case studies of "real people" who've suffered bladder problems, Interstitial cystis and the like as well as painful bladder, or full bladder sensations, that there is a special culture that has to be taken (urine culture) that has to be done only by a special lab in the states (I don't know about here in Canada). With one young woman, they identified a bacterial called Enterococcus (bacterial related) which was found in this special "Broth Test". It has to be conducted through special labs. So, she was put on "Aumentin" which is an antibiotic, low dose over a long period of time and her symptoms decreased significantly. I'm just saying all of this because I'm at a loss still as to whether any of this could apply to my daughter...if it's even worth looking into...At this stage, we think we DO have to look at everything. She's suffering every day.

Last night she told me that the area where she's feeling this uncomfortable "full bladder feeling" is right at the neck of the bladder. She's also using descriptors as "raw, bruised, even wet feeling". Imagine if you scraped your hand and the top layer of skin has come off...and you rub it against something...she feels like she's sitting on that "rawness". And maybe inflammatory feeling is a kind of referred pain that goes to the bladder, even though it's really in the sphincter muscles, right around the neck of the bladder. Hard to explain. But you get the point.

Now this Colloidal Silver you're talking about...I'd like to find out from a Homeopathic first...or maybe not...if it's pure...as it should...it's worth "the test". I see what you're saying...just to try it and see if anything changes.

There's also something else that I found called BULBERIS VULGERIS..l.supposed to be good for bladder pain and many things related to this topic. If you have any more thoughts on this, I'd be very welcome to hear them!

Thanks again! Dew

Dew,

Thank you for your reply post. Remember....she has a VIRAL infection too...not just bacterial ... in my opinion. So one might knock out the bacteria but the virus remains. That's why I'm suggesting a broad based anti microbial.

Also you could consider Echinacea. Five drops in glass of water and drink three times daily. For a month. At least I'd do this ... CS or Echinacea.
