Hi, If you take iron supplements you should take them with fresh orange juice for the vitamin c which helps with iron absorption. Do not drink any caffeinated drinks or alcohol. Bsm is full of iron, spiruella supplement is good. Eat red meat / eggs etc. You didn't say how anemic you are. I have been severly anemic in the past- there is alwYs a reason and this is important in recommending the cure. Why are you anemic? Where is the blood loss. When I was serverly anemic I was sleepy lot , every task exhausted me , I had heart palpitations , I was breathless and had weird cravings but no problem with my knees. Some conditions like cancer for eg cause anemia.

Hi Rocky, An easy way to build the blood is with liquid chlorophyll. I was extremely anemic years ago and pregnant and my midwife warned me that if I did not bring my red blood cell count up, she would not deliver me. At the time I was working for a biochemist who created a line of vitamins and supplements. I told him my dilemma and he said chlorophyll would work immediately as it is the blood of the plants and when our body takes it in, it transposes it to red blood. I started taking it immediately and by the next visit, my midwife was astounded! She asked what I did and I told her and she said she would pass that on to others. I have helped many over the years who dealt with anemia. I hope this helps. Let us know if it works for you as successfully. Lisa

Use a cast iron frying pan, iron leeches out of it into your food...

Anon, you are right about Blackstrap Molasses. It cured anemia for me. One tablsp. In hot water topped up with soymilk, was my "coffee" then. I would take it twice a day, and when I felt stronger (usually after a week or so), I slowed down to once a day, and then to once in a while.

I also was having a very hard time, I did some research and I switched to non-irritating Iron (ferric pyrophosphate) and now take between 45-60 mg once a day w/ Vit C. I have no bad reaction to this. It is suppposed to be the most absorbable form of iron.
