For mild-to-moderate BPH, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Take Saw Palmetto as an extract standardized to aound 90% total fatty acids twice a day; this should help reduce the size of the gland in about four to six weeks. Other things that may help...Stinging Nettle, Selenium & Pumpkin Seed Oil.Replied by Tom (Regina, Sk) on 04/14/2010
I don't have a prostate problem (yet), so this reply is more to add suggestions for a supplement or two I see not mentioned for BPH (enlarged prostate with its woes):
1. beta-sitosterol; recognized really over the past decade only, it's supposedly far more potent than saw palmetto! Just do a Search " BPH prostate beta sitosterol".
Here is one Search result mentioning b-sterol:

2. Iodine; the prostate has more than its share of iodine receptors, and iodine is one trace nutrient that over 95% of everyone is short of.
Search using well known names in Iodine research like Dr. Abraham, Dr. Brownstein, Dr. Derry (Victoria, BC), etc.Replied by Alfred (Bangkok, Thailand) on 04/15/2010
Prostate.. My mother told me when I was around 30 to eat 7 to 9 Raw almonds every day.. So I went to the health food store. Followed her instruction..I stopped eating Raw Almond when my teeth started to go bad. I am now 83 yrs young.. With a very Healthy Prostate. Get physical yearly. So maybe Mom knew her business.
Stay well my friend. Good health worth more than money.
A little Blurp that my Mom wrote. "Little Courtesies are the Wayside Flowers of Life."
