Fast forward a month later I'm in total mania and realize Ativan sent me over the edge!! The weight began to drop severely (Thank Goodness I was overweight... Although my physician was pleased with my weight loss she didn't realize I was sweating profusely, had weird high energy, very cold in even I mild weather, and a basket case!!! I too had noticed very dry hair and thinning hair.. I was so sick and then had to deal with Ativan withdrawl... I thought I was dying.. Had to go to ER twice with bad chest palpitations and thing I could not breath. I too got jaw and throat tightness and more muscle tension... All my physician was saying was saying that I should get on an antidepressant since the GD Benzo did not work. NO I could not imagine getting more mind manipulation (EVEN though Some nights I was ready to give in and ask her for one) I was severely in pain and even had to take FMLA from work. SOME nights I thought I would not wake up that's how lethargic and painful I felt.
Well I begin to research on herbs to help with appetite and calming. I begin to drink Chamomille every AM... And then noticed a tea infusion using Chammomille and Lemon Balm. I begin to sleep really well. Then I read that Lemon Balm helps with Graves. After two weeks I begin to sleep better, eat better, even digestion improved. After three weeks I don't feel as cold and my palpitations and tightness and spasms are greatly reduced!!! I don't feel as anxious.. I also take Lisonipril for Hypertension and that does not seem to affect it at all.. Actually they say Lemon Balm helps hypertension too, so it's a win win... I hope it works for you guys I had to post this as I had been in HELL and praise Jesus I'm back... His medicine works best.
