How can i get a toddler to drink apple cider vinegar for his cough

Posted By Nathan (Troy, Michigan) on 11/23/2014

My 3-year-old son has dry cough and I learned from here that 2 tablespoons of ACV in warm water can treat cough. However, my son will not drink the stuff. How do I make him drink the ACV? Please advise.

Dear Nathan,

2 Tablespoons would be too much for a toddler. I give toddlers a teaspoon in juice.

If you cannot get him to take that, try garlic oil or garlic salve recipes on this site. They are applied topically and are very effective.

Well that's kinda gross to a little kid. Why don't you try Manuka Honey instead? You'll be able to get them into the kid, for sure.
