How Can I Avoid Surgery for Large Goiter?

Posted By Melvin (Bc) on 08/12/2015

Hello - So I have non cancerous multinodule goiters (6 in all) and have had them for at least 20 years. Over the last year or so, one of them has gotten very large, noticable from a distance. With that said, I have no symptoms and my thyroid levels are normal.

In the past I would have the goitre drained and that worked but over the last year, there doesn't seem to be much liquid in it :(

A full thyroidectomy has been recommended by 2 surgeons. I want to keep my thyroid especially because it is working just fine just looking odd (and deviating my trachea a bit but again, without any symptoms).

I am wondering if any of the natural treatments will work for me given the size and that it is quite solid?

Thoughts? Suggestions? Experiences?

Thanks so much for your insight!
