How best to address systemic issue in 18 mo old

My son, who is 18 months old, has conjunctivitis in both eyes and a congested chest cough. He first became sick about a month ago with these symptoms and a fever. He was treated with an antibiotic eye ointment, which did nothing for him. He was then treated with an oral antibiotic. His symptoms quickly subsided, but soon he had a yeast infection/thrush diaper rash. He has completed his antibiotic treatment, and now symptoms are recurring (specifically the chest cough and conjunctivitis in his eyes). I have simultaneously been sick with the same infection, was treated with antibiotics, got the yeast infection as a result, and felt run down. Like my son, after I was done with the antibiotics, I started to get sick again. Not wanting to go back on antibiotics, I turned to ACV, which has worked so quickly and well! I had terrible painful swollen glands yesterday, took a couple of shots of ACV (with honey as a chaser - I can't handle it on its own).

I REALLY do not want to put my son on antibiotics again. I plan to try breastmilk and diluted AVC on his eyes, however what can I do for the systemic problem? I'm worried that he also has this cough. Is he too young to take ACV orally? If not, is there a certain amount that is appropriate? Any other ideas? THANK YOU!

In your shoes, I would look for an integrative MD, someone who has gone the conventional route, but has also learned homeopathy and nutrition, also specifically, someone who treats families or children/iinfants as a speciality. Do a search of your area for "integrative medicine or MD" for listings, and interview the ones you might be interested in seeing.

An afterthought; my 5yo had bloodwork done for an extensive dental procedure, he was put on antibiotics before the procedure. We found out later that his Vit D levels were VERY low. His naturopath recommended a children's Vit D3 for him to get his immune system up. He continues to get a food-basedVit D3 as well as some time outside to soak in a bit of sunshine each day. I'm not saying that the Vit D3 will 'cure' your child's systemic problem, but it could boost his immunity.

Omtree, for the conjunctivitis you can try 1 tspn of sea salt (disolved) in 500 mls of water to wash the eye. I would not use diluted ACV in his eyes. ACV is very acidic until it is digested. If he has been on antibiotics he needs to also be having probiotics to repopulate the gut with good bacteria.
