Help Needed for Severe Pain After a Stroke

Hi , my mother had stroke 4 months back her right side is week , she can't work properly even can not work with her right hand .she has severe pain in her right hand and shoulder. Is there any remedies I can start ?

Dear Sana,

The elderly are pretty prone to dehydration. A body being mildly dehydrated can make pain worse. A body in an acidic state will also feel pain more acutely.

One solution for both of the above problems is an alkalizing drink a couple of times a day (in addition to other fluids.) 1 Tablespoon Raw Apple Cider Vinegar or Fresh Lime or Lemon Juice plus 1/4 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate (baking soda.)

If baths are a possibility, 1 cup of epsom salt in a warm bath may also be helpful. Massaging the pained areas with castor oil will sometimes bring pain relief.

Turmeric tea could be very beneficial .
