Help needed for lump on groin area

Posted By Es (Montreal, Canada) on 09/13/2014

Hi. Just yesterday I noticed a bump on my groin area and very swollen around it. This morning I woke up and it was so swollen like a mountain. I went to the clinic and she prescribed me antibiotics saying it could be a form of celulitis. I have taken my first dose of antibiotics and I am now in agony. The bump has now turned into a full sized golf ball and super red and inflamed all around and hot to touch. I do not seem to have fever, however I am very achy and feeling very ill. Is it just because it takes a couple days for the antibiotics to kick In? Or should I be worried?
Please help!

Dear Es,

That sounds miserable! Yes, it could take some time for the antibiotics to kick in.

If it is cellulitis, or even if it is not, I would take a ton of turmeric. 5 capsules or a teaspoon every two hours with 8 ounces of water. Best with a little black pepper and some coconut oil.

If you can get some activated charcoal powder, I would make a a charcoal poultice and change it every two hours. Make many at once and keep them in the refrigerator. They will be soothing to something hot and swollen.

I don't know what your medical options are but I would keep and eye on it and return to the clinic if you end up having any red streaks from the site or a fever. It sounds quite serious.

That said, we have had charcoal and turmeric resolve some serious conditions.

Please report back. I will want to know how you are doing.

You may want to take a look at what some have said about Goldenseal on this site. Very interesting stuff.
