Help Needed for Itchy Varicose Vein

Posted By Bama (Bama) on 03/16/2016

I have a vein in my leg, just below the knee on the inside, that is itchy. It's not a huge varicose vein, but looks like it will become one. I thought I had a bug bite at first, but now there are 3 spots along the vein that look like bites but itch. It's been too long for a bite, so I'm thinking it's a manifestation of the varicose vein. I've been applying Apple Cider Vinegar to the area, as well as mag oil 2X/day. I'm not as active as I should be. I take 1000 mg niacin 2x/day for cholesterol, 4 mg astaxanthin/day, a probiotic and vit code multivitamin. I've been juicing for some time now first thing in the morning, then wait 1/2 hour before eating oatmeal. What should I do for this? I sure don't want the dr to start pushing for his solution.

In case it is a bite, if me, I'd try this for a few days: Echinacea. It is one of the super anti poison topical ointments. The best I've found is Vitamin Shoppe's own brand. But others are nearly as good. Apply drops onto the site and let dry and then apply again 30 minutes later. And again without washing off. Let dry and the third time wash off after an hour. Repeat this an hour later. The next day repeat. Do this for three days and see if the problem is not resolved.
