Help need advice on diabetes and diet

Posted By Audrey (Stapleton, Alabama) on 08/24/2011

I am a type 2 diabetic, have been for 9 years, Was totally controlled by diet BG running 70 to 90 every morning before Breakfast, and the same before other meals. Now... I moved to Alabama from Colorado. My "NEW" Dr. told me I wasn't a diabetic and never had been ( after A1C blood testing ETC) First off I argued with him. That I was a diabetic and had been for 8 years ( at that point) he convinced me I wasn't, SO I went off my diabetic diet started eating whatever I wanted.

Now 6 months later. He is telling me I AM a type 2 diabetic. I am now struggling to get my BG under control. Eating very small low carb meals leaving out bread, pasta, rice, potoates, etc My BG is now running high in the morning, no matter what I eat or don't eat the previous evening. And I have no energy. What is going on, has irreprabale damage been done due to this Dr, telling me I wasn't a diabetic ? I don't want to go on medication if I can help it. How can I bring down my night / morning BG and find my energy again. Please help.

Audrey there is some information that spirulina and Chlorella are excellent for diabetes control.

"Both spirulina and chlorella demonstrate phenomenal benefits when it comes to controlling blood sugar. This is relevant to both hypoglycemia and diabetes.

What's responsible for these blood sugar regulating effects? These micro-algae contain a near-perfect ratio of high-density proteins (twelve times more protein than beef, remember?) and complex carbohydrates. Spirulina has the added benefit of providing GLA, which has also been shown effective at controlling blood sugar levels and diabetes."

Here is the page. The whole ebook is excellent to read.
