Mary,
I am reading wonderful results with medical cannabis for Parkinsons. It is legal in your state. Google it. Plus cannabis can help weight. I just saw a film of before and after of a man being treated for Parkinsons. It was amazing. He was normal in 5 minutes and he had a severe case. Janet

You mention that your brother is taking methylene blue. Based on the little I've read about it, the condition he's probably taking it for can be caused by exposure to certain drugs or chemicals. And that sounds like it could be responsible for the Parkinson's, too.
Therefore, I would think top on your/his list should be (1) detoxing and (2) reducing or eliminating as many toxins as possible, including prescription drugs, if possible.
As regards detoxing, among the things I would probably be doing are (1) Iodine (and the accompanying supplements including organic selenium, magnesium, and zinc), (2) Borax (see EarthClinic posts by Ted and others) and Walter Last's The Borax Conspiracy, and (3) Niacin detox infrared saunas (I encourage you to look it up and research it online).
For more information on iodine, check out videos from Dr. Brownstein and Dr. Group on YouTube. For information on niacin detox saunas, check out Dr. Yu's videos on YouTube including his interview with Dr. Mercola.
As regards stopping the flow of new toxins, I would at least temporarily reduce or eliminate dairy and meat, eat organic, use only glass to contain my food, avoid microwave ovens, canned food, and plastics, especially heated plastics, and fluoride toothpaste, and get a good water (preferably whole house) and air filter.
And something that is supposed to work magic with Parkinson's and most other brain diseases is NADH (although I don't believe it or anything else will protect him from Parkinson's or a variety of potential other issues down the road, including cancer, if his body is overrun with toxins).
