Headaches During Pregnancy

Posted By E D (Atlanta, Georgia) on 01/29/2021

Hello,

After having my second child, I started experiencing headaches a day before my period and 2 days into my cycle. Now I am pregnant with our third child and am having slight nausea and headaches that last for days. Any tips or remedies? Doctor is recommending Tylenol, but I don’t want to take it.

Here are some ideas that you can try. These are things that have worked for me, as I've also suffered from menstrual migraines, as well as several day long migraines while pregnant.

1. Progesterone cream. Apply topically.
2. Red clover tea. You can purchase red clover in bulk from mountain rose herbs. Steep a small handful of the dried flowers in a pot of boiled water for 1-4 hours. Strain and drink.
3. Take 1/2 - 1 teaspoon cream of tartar in a glass of water. Provides potassium and can relieve headaches.
4. Juice a bunch of celery and drink.
5. Take liquid chlorophyll. Can also help with nausea.
6. Make sure you have saturated your body with magnesium. Take 400mg magnesium citrate or chloride *twice daily.* Also soak in baths or do foot baths with mag chloride or Epsom salts. Most of us are deficient in magnesium, and you'll need even more when pregnant and breastfeeding.
7. When I was really suffering and had to get stuff done, take Tylenol and drink something caffeinated. It can take the edge off, if not mostly knock out a headache / migraine. But try the natural remedies first and see what works for you.
8. Tony Pantelleresco made a video (YouTube) called the controversial supplement. I tried it... took about 1 ounce when I felt a menstrual migraine coming on and it vanished. Didn't get a headache at all. You basically take a quart jar of filtered water and add a little liquid chlorophyll and a 1/2 teaspoon of trisodium phosphate (TSP). I ordered my TSP from Sunnyside Labs on Amazon. Shake it up and take a small amount daily.

Hope this helps!
