Have horrible pain from polymyalgia rheumatica

I had hand surgery Dec. 29th - 4 days after that I got this horrible pain in my arms, shoulders, across my neck into the other arm, now it's in my legs. After much testing I found out I have Polymyalgia rheumatica - which I never heard of. So of course they say prednizone which I'm scared to death to take. Diabetes run in my family I already have some Osteoarthritis so that doesn't help and I am vain and don't want to blow up like a balloon.

Has anyone not gained weight and had there face blow up? Just curious and if so how did you do it? I have tried ACV and it gives me heart burn and now I'm looking into Zyflamend - but that's another theory too. One person told me to go see about Ozone Therapy - anyone tried that? That's interesting in itself.

The doctor told me to just trust her and they will make me feel better - by I'm so scared about all the side effects. So really I still don't know anything.

I was diagnosed with polymyalgia rhumatica. The only thing that helped the pain go away was the prednisone, a low dose, but you cannot stay on it forever. After going off the med and the pain begain to return I read about and started turmeric. I take the tablets twice a day and I make a tea once a day. Use organic. The pain is gone. A twinge once in awhile especially if I forget the turmeric. Because it is natural give it a couple of months to really work. I will never be as I was in my twenties but being able to bend down, step up, dress myself etc is wonderful. Hopefully this will work for you as well.
