Have had ibs d all my life

Posted By Gertie (Al) on 06/17/2014

I have had ibs-d all my life. I control it with diet, exercise, and a prescription called Lotronex. I am in the middle of a flare up--I have had to take immodium for the last several weeks. When I say my diarrhea is bad, I mean to the point that I have taken 12 immodium in a day and only get relief for about 6 hours. How can I get my gut back in tune? How can I get it to normalcy? (not my normal, but really normal--1 bm/day instead of 30). Please, I'm so depleted by this.

IBS-D is because of Infections in small intestine (you can also say SIBO). To kill the infections right away, take 6 drops of lugols solutions in half glass of water after every meal.

To alkalize your intestine take Ted's Alkalizing formula 3 times a day.

To minimize the stomach upset and assist in digestion, take 2 capsules of Full Spectrum Plant based digestive enzymes with every meal.

Once the infection is reduced we will try to strengthen the intestine. Update your improvement here.

You need multitude of treatment for IBS, no single pill will do the magic.

Good Health.

Thanks. I started the lugol's right away and will get digestive enzymes. I've been doing the alkalizing all along. For how long do I do this and what is the next step, just so I can get items together that I will need. Thank you so much. I didn't notice any difference yet except that I seem to not urinate as often--I go so very often and it's nice to not have the potty police at work making comments.

Gertie,

The problems you describe are likely to respond to Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN). It is now in Phase 111 trials for Crohn's disease with almost a 70% improvement or remission rate. Many take it for IBS with success. It is non-toxic, no side effects except a week or so of sleeplessness in some people, and inexpensive. See www.ldninfo.org and then join the Yahoo LDN Group listed on that page and ask any questions you may have to any of the over 11,000 members who use it. Best wishes.
