Has had toothache for 6 months

Hello!

I've had over 6 months of a toothache in an old crown. The pain has slowly been increasing. I do grind my teeth at night and wear a night guard. Dentist said I need a root canal. Ugh! With many crowns and 5 previous root canals in my mouth, I really want to avoid the cost of another.

Ok, I applied 2 slivers of raw garlic and it hurt but I still have tooth pain. I swallowed the garlic as recommended. Same day I did it again for 15 minutes and it REALLY hurt. The garlic burned the inside of my mouth! I have a swollen area the size of a quarter on cheek area and a bullseye on the gum of bad tooth. There are now 5-6 white "ulcers" on that swollen cheek.

Not sure what to try now. Should I swish w/ garlic oil? Please help. Would so appreciate suggestions. (Also, I've also been swishing w/ colloidal silver) Thanks :)

Cher, I have one crown that always has a bit of pain underneath it. I found that rinsing my mouth out with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide (over the counter drug store stuff) at least 3 to 4 times a week keeps the bacteria at bay along with brushing teeth with a non-fluoride toothpaste does the trick for me. Give it a try for a week. Good luck.

Cher, I had a horrible toothache under a crown last year. I was told I needed a root canal and I was determined NOT to get one and NOT to take antibiotics.

I was taking 50mg daily of Iodoral iodine at the time and I upped it to 100mg. I increased some of my other supplements as well, but I believe it was the iodine that killed the infection...the pain completely going away about the 3rd day.

I stayed on that dose for a couple of weeks and the pain didn't return. In fact, my teeth are no longer sensitive to cold either, an unexpected benefit of this treatment.

There's a small protocol of complimentary supplements to take with iodine and you should start off slow, but I highly recommend it!
