Has had keratosis pilaris all her life

Hi There

I have suffered with Keratosis Pilaris all my life. I noticed that applying organic unrefined coconut oil to my skin really helped but I got lazy and stopped. I then decided to take the coconut oil internally for all it's health benefits, I took 4tsp in my tea every morning and noticed a huge difference but not a complete elimination.

I heard a lot about kp being a essential fatty acid deficiency. So I stopped taking the coconut oil to see if the omega 3 capsules would work, but then my kp came back with a vengeance, it was worse then what it was in the first place, it was even on the bottom of my arms and on my neck, I've never had it on my neck before.

And it's very itchy, could that happen when stopping coconut oil? Or could it be that I'm scrubbing too hard with an all over coffee scub?

Also could kp be an esential fatty acid deficiency? when I look up omega 3 deficiency, one of the symptoms is bumpy red skin and kp.

I hope my kp isn't worse and it's just a rash. I hope someone could give me some information and help me out but I'll also let you know how I go.

Thanks in advance.
