Jerry, I had really bad blepharitis and the only thing that helped was MSM pills. I started by taking 2 capsules/pills 3-4 times a day and then after a few weeks I took it 2 times a day and now I just take it 1 time a day in the morning on an empty stomach. Each pill is 1000mg, so you're taking 2000mg at a time. You can just get the CVS or Rite Aide brand. Also, my blepharitis was allergy related, so this treatment worked for me. Good luck!Replied by Flo (Thomasville, Ga) on 03/26/2015
I have blepharitis once in a while, but I don't think it is as bad as yours. Since it is an autoimmune thing, I tried the tiniest bit of OTC cortisone cream and rubbed it on my eyelid and into eyelashes. Only did it maybe once/twice daily. Always works for me. Ophthalmologist had told me there was nothing to be done about it, and I don't know if he believed me when I told him my remedy. I don't think it is a good idea to get a lot of it in your eyes, so be careful.
