Hi, professor Jane Plant wrote a book about surviving breast cancer called something like your life in your hands and in it she discusses this and what to eat/ take to combat the chemo, she also discusses all other treatments including radiotherapy. I'm pretty sure that the hair is going to fall out no matter what after you've had chemo. But I've heard of cancer support group members who advise others to shave their head right away, which is quicker, provides a sense of control, is neater, and can be less traumatic than letting the hair fall out gradually. Dr Plant used a diet very high in folic acid - she didn't lose her hair.
