Good friend with vomiting issue

Have a friend that vomits her food back up just a few minutes after eating, but she does not have nausea. It has gotten very bad, she has lost 40 lbs in just a few months. She has been treated for heartburn, acid reflux. Could it be a stomach ailment, or something wrong with her trachea? Any info is appreciated!!!!

Hi - I remember reading somewhere that vomiting without nausea could have to do with something in the brain, (a tumor, etc). Has your friend had an MRI? Sorry to worry you, but I would look into that if it continues unresolved. Good luck to your friend.

Also, the doctors are stumped. She has undergone multiple tests and nothing has come of it...

If your friend can still drink without vomiting that, try this as it works for many people. Go to the drugstore and buy a small bottle of regular 100 mg niacin. It's a small pill. Take one or two and wait a half-hour before attempting to eat. You may experience a warmth or flush after taking the niacin-- it's harmless, though. If this does prove successful, continue taking the niacin before every meal for a few days; then quit and see if the problem has resolved itself.

I was just reading about peppermint tea/oil and fennel tea and how it works awesome for problems like this. As a matter of fact, there is a particular brand on iherb (hope EC would allow me to say this) called Heathers fennel/peppermint tea that has an awesome review on someone who had this identical problem and used this teas and was cured even though the docs said they couldn't do anything for her. You can go on the website and read it for yourself. As I was reading it, I remember this post that I saw yesterday on EC and thought omg I have to reply to this post and let you know this. Hope this works to help your friend. Best of luck
