Seeking Natural Remedies for German Patient With Churg Strauss

Posted By Cass (London) on 09/16/2016

I’m writing to ask if you may have any advice for this lady – Susannah – who is a family friend ( she speaks no English unfortunately).

Susannah, age around 46/47 years old ( resident in Germany, with basic knowledge of German language and little knowledge of how to use the internet) has been diagnosed with :

“Diagnoss: Eosinophile granulomatose polyangiitis (Churg Strauss) ED 06/2015

Initiale eosinophile von 56%(absolut=12,8/nl)

ANCA negative”

She apparently has Churg-Strauss syndrome http://www.mayoclinic.org/home/ovc-20232243

which has progressed beyond the Eosinophilic stage and Vasculitic stage. She has a history of sinus problems and thyroid – resulting in thyroid being removed some years ago.

A few months ago she was hospitalised and put in isolation for some weeks whilst she was assessed and underwent testing. She had biopsies done on pretty much every organ in her body before a diagnosis was reached. She says it was like her body was attacking itself .

Since diagnosis she now has chemotherapy which she has been told is the standard treatment to relieve her symptoms (and allow her immune system to rebuild itself? ).

We are trying to find out what natural therapies and treatments she could try in order to build her own immune function and feel better.

I have limited information about her current symptoms except that she feels like her legs muscles are weak and are giving way – she’s very scared she may have MS but the symptoms, as explained in the Mayo clinic above - seem consistent with churg strauss); I’m not sure what are the key questions to ask her. She is taking Manuka honey and we have recommended using Himalayan rock salt in her food and a salt inhaler.

She has been living in an industrialised area for the past few years ( approx. 5 years) which is very close to a factory that releases emissions.

She is thinking of re-locating to avoid being in a highly polluted area in order to breathe cleaner air.

Thank you so much. We will pass on the advice to her in the hope it helps her.

Hello Cass,

The condition is described as basically inflammation of the vessels and is though of as auto immune. When ever I hear inflammation and auto immune I think .... virus.

If I had this I would be orally consuming an anti virus like colloidal silver. I'd drink three tablespoons on empty stomach morning and evening. If I saw improvement after a few weeks, I'd keep it up for a few months. Might take years to get rid of condition.

Given a thyroid removal earlier, that fact might confirm an infection. Remember, often you might hear a doctor report there is no infection but I find they mean ... no bacterial infection. Sometimes they can't spot a virus.

I'd also be giving myself upper respiratory irrigations using colloidal silver. I squirt up sinus on both sides, squirt in ears and even use an "inhaler" to get into bronchial passages. I use the inhaler using the CS in the "pan" and breathe deeply for about 5 minutes, twice a day. All that is an irrigation. If the condition is a virus, the combination of oral consumption of CS plus irrigations may get the virus under control. But likely, it will take time to get results.

One of the first things noticed when the patient gets such a system wide infection under control is the patient will notice that his/her energy begins to return very fast. But important to recall that that person is on thin ice so do not push too hard; allow the body to come back to normal for a few months before anything physically pushing the system... like long hard walks etc.
