Genital Warts Questions

Posted By Julie (Santa Fe, NM/US) on 11/15/2008

Actually I just found out about a month and a half ago that I had GW and I was devistated!! I still feel really embarrassed....My boyfriend of 4 years has been very understanding and support (thank goodness!) I have gone to my health care pro and they have used some sort of acid to remove them and they are going away in those areas but they keep arising in other areas...I want to try they ACV but i wanted to ask if anyone knows if the outbreak ever just stops?!?! And what about sex? When can we start having sex again ? And is condoms the only way to go? Would appreciate any feedback thanks!

I cannot actually answer your question but would just like to echo it and really see if there is anyone out there who has any good words of wisdom. I just found my gw's recently and my boyfriend and I are completely devestated. We had unprotected sex recently and oral sex which means that he likely is infected as well. This is the person I could see myself being with for the rest of my life and having kids with. What ever happens to a normal sex life? My boyfriend and I are very spontaneous. What happens to that? What happens to oral sex? I am so devastated that I will never have a normal life. Can anyone help?

As far as I understand there are tons of strands of HPV some are worse than others. Because it is a virus their is no said "medical cure" but if you take care of your body ie: quit smoking, limit acohol consumption, work out, eat healthy and take vitamins, it may be possible for your body to kill the virus. From reading on this site it seems that many people that have done this have had a lot of success it just takes time. As far as oral sex again from what I have understood from my doctor and this site is that it really depends on the strand and extent of the infection. My Dr. said that it was highly improbable (but possible) that a wart would appear on your face or throat, but that the virus could be transfered orally. HPV is a virus that spreads from contact so condoms wont necessarily prevent transmission if you have warts on your thighs, anus etc. My unprofessional advice would be for you and your partner to continue your spontantaity just make sure condoms are always readily available somewhere near by. If you have them on your thighs I would suggest that maybe you both wear some sort of boxers or shorts (I know that is totally unattractive but until you both get them to go away you will just be endlessly passing it back and forth). I would also suggest that you both start taking care of your bodies as I said above. I started doing what is listed above after seeing it on this site and mine have been gone with no reoccurrences for 6 months. I take daily 1000mg of vitamin C, 1000 I. U. of vitamin E, 25000 I. U. Of vitamin A, 50mg of zinc, 500mg of lysine, an Echinacea and Golden Seal Complex Pill, One-a-day multivitamin, 2 Garlic Supplemental Pills.

I saw the above on this site also and gave it a shot and it has worked. I would also suggest the ACV treatment regime combined with hydrogen Peroxide 5%. Cleanse the area with soap and water then dry off and immediately rub HP on it with a cotton ball. Next rip a cottonball so that the size is roughly the same as the wart. Immerse in ACV and squeeze out so that there is not to much. Place on area and then with a band aid tape cotten ball over area. You will notice the area turn purple this is good. Repeat process, it will start to turn a grayish white color also good. Repeat again the are will start to show a black spot in the center also good. Repeat this and eventually depending on the area the wart will fall out/off. When it does the regime does not end quickly douse with HP it will bubble (killing the nasty virus) and then tape one more time with ACV by this time it should work. There is not necessarily a time frame mine took a week before I got to black stage a friend of mine took a little longer. Hope this helps and good luck to you I know its hard.
