For 7 years battling chronic ulcerative colitisPosted By Iwillgetbetter (Detroit, Mi, Usa) on 01/13/2012
I've had UC for 7 years now and only once, for one day, did I achieve remission. I actually had a shot of antibiotic rocephin and took liquid nystantin and and my remission occured two days after having this. But it didn't stay. I've been on a ton of antibiotics, of course at the same time probiotics. I tested positive for Lyme's too. But no doctor can tell me if my UC is from Lyme's or it's just UC. I know it all started over eating alfalfa sprouts I didn't wash from the grocery store. I got deathly ill and I never went to the doctor. I was better in three days after diarrhea and throwing up, but then a few months later I started bleeding from my rectum when I would have a bowel movement. I was having accidents, I could hold back my poop, it would come out uncontrollably.
I recently bought marshmellow root to make tea for ulcers, l-glutamin for healing the cut, blackstrap molasses (all this per your site) and fish oil, vit D, DHEA a liquid multi vitamin. I've been on the l-glutimin the longest. I'm starting back up my probiotics, since I thought I was bleeding from them I stopped. I bought a far-infer red sauna for detoxing. I've had my filings changed in my mouth, I've taken anti parasite medication and I've done series of colonics and admistered my own enemas with nystantin and probiotics. I've tried gluten free about two weeks, no improvement. Raw veggies give me terrible gas. I've tried living on just chicken and veggies and that's hard! I had a 12 week infusion of vitamins/minerals and I think I've done everything possible to heal myself. I pray, my mood is positive. I'm active. But the urgency, blood, pencin thin poop is still there. It's a miserable way to live. I have spent over $50,000 in doctors, supplements, travel, medications, proceedures etc...
I always wondered if it was just yeast overgrowth and leaky gut problems but I have ulcers.
Any other suggestion you can throw at me? I greatly appreciate all your help. I would LOVE to be in remission.
