Accidentally Used Food Grade Peroxide in my Ears, Damage?

Question

Hi All,

I mistakenly used my higher % H2o2 mix in my ears, well just one ear before it started itching too bad after under a minute. I then realized I had used my mix of 3% and 14% (probably about 9% for the mix). I took it out, used a qtip to remove excess then I put a capful of water in my ear to further remove any left over H2o2, then used a dryer kept at a safe distance from my ear to dry it.

Has anyone ever did something similar on accident? I feel a slight ache in my ear but nothing too disturbing. Could I have caused any damage? Any advice would be appreciated.

Dear Cl503,

It sounds like you make some quick and wise decisions on how to get the strong peroxide out.

I am guessing you have not done long term damage. A drop of olive oil once or twice a day might facilitate healing, should there be any damage. If your hearing is not affected and you are not feeling pain, I think those are good signs.
