Mark, I feel for you as I have suffered the pain and discomfort of diverticulitis. The doctor wanted to operate but I refused. Once I started taking magnesium and vitamin c daily I rid myself of diverticulitis. Aloe Vera juice will also get your system right and it will heal your colon. I had to experiment a bit to get the right dosage but it has been years since I have had any trouble. I eat popcorn, seeds, nuts and all those other " bad" foods they warn you about. It works Just stay with it.

I'll second the other response of Vit-C, Magnesium, and Aloe Vera and would add two more critical naturals to the list ---Milled Flax Seed and Cod Liver Oil or Vit-A.

mujorea s.,

Grapefruit Seed Extract may help. A sometimes recommended dose is a 250 mg capsule 2 to 3 times per day in divided doses, such as one with breakfast, one with lunch and one with dinner or one with breakfast and one with dinner. Here is a typical 250 mg product :

Good luck and keep us posted on whether this is helpful for you.

Two methods I have used in the past to treat Diverticulitis with success.

#1. Swedish Bitters by Maria Treben taken orally.

#2. A coffee/aloe/lemon enema. Follow the instructions/teachings of Gerson Therapy. Normally after the 3rd coffee enema, the Diverticulitis is resolved.

Mujrorea, from age 27 to 45 I was hospitalized multiple times due to diverticulitis. I have been free from diverticulitis the past 11 years after I followed a suggestion I read to drink a shot glass of organic heirloom cold pressed olive oil 2x day for three days followed by a glass of organic sour black cherry juice (use this treatment when ever you feel symptoms return). I also have found 50 gram Vitamin C IV's every couple months very beneficial. Daily I take 2 grams Vitamin C along with 7000 IU's Vitamin D daily. I grow my own Aloe Vera and eat about a tablespoon every several days.

Hope this may help you deal with the severe pain and get free from this illness.
