Fighting mites for a year

Posted By Laura (Edmond, OK) on 01/09/2015

I purchased a puppy who had walking dandruff and mites and I have not seen a good day since February 15th of 2014. I went to doctors and dermatologist and they think I'm crazy. My skin is destroyed and my hair. Is there anyone that could tell me, is there an end to this? I use the coconut oil and didn't find anything that helped. I feel them all over me at night, so much worse. Doesn't help and creams, nothing works. Pls if you could tell me how to rid myself of this mite.

Laura I caught it from my dog too. Doctors say that's not possible. I still have them and keep trying new things. But what really helps is borax baths. Soak in it and get it on your face, eyebrows and deep into your hair.

Hope this helps.

MITES:

1) I suffered with a skin condition for many years , after having picked up a mite of some sort after swimming in a communal hot water pool.

Nowadays a small amount of Chlorine is added to kill mites and bacteria but back then none of us knew about those things.

However, in civilization, every summer I suffered terribly with a maddening itch..My skin wept and emitted a really bad smell. I showered up to 3 times a day, used numerous ointments, powders, soaps etc etc...all to no avail. Working in the hospitality industry meant I was constantly on my feet and often rushed ( hot) but by far summer was the worst.

Then, someone asked if I had tried ACV ?

No I hadn't..Didn't know a thing about it but I borrowed a book from the library and read it. What I found out gave me the first glimmer of hope that what I had could be cured.

ACV is :Is anti-bacterial, anti-viral, anti-fungal, anti-septic, and anti-microbial ( for mites etc).

This book suggested that I get a 2 litre bottle and add 1/2 cup of store-bought ACV in the bottle and top it up with the water from the shower or bath to fill it as near to the top as possible. After showering or bathing, or if having a bath, some can be also added, but before you dry yourself tip this bottle of ACV and water over your hair and cup your hand and splash under your arms and in other hard to reach places, and let it dry on your body. Bit hard in winter but it helps if your bathroom is still steamy with the door shut.

Do this every single time you have a bath or shower and you should be rid of your body mites within 2 weeks if not before.

As for your mattress, buy a couple of spray bottles from a cheapy shop, and 1 bottle of T-Tree oil and a bottle of Eucalyptus oil.

Completely strip your bed, wash the bedding in warm water if possible with a lid full of T-Tree oil and detergent and a lid full of Eucalyptus oil in the rinse. Hanging on a line in sunlight, is best but if not a dryer will have to do. Do this for all your bedding; sheets blankets, doonas..ALL your bedding, including pillows. Pillows need to be soaked in a sink or bath so that they are submerged....Leave for a couple of hours then squeeze gently , put in bucket or spin cycle of machine to get rid of excess water then rinse with one lid full of either of the oils, spin to rid excess water and hang on line.

Your mattress needs to be vacuumed and to be sprayed.... have 1 spray bottle nearly full of hot water and a lid full of T-tree oil and a couple of drops of Eucalyptus oil in it. If your mattress can be put outside in the sun, then do it, otherwise stand it up against your wall and spray it all over until the whole surface ( both sides) is covered. Leave it to dry completely before putting back on your bed, then make it up with your clean bedding. The blankets, doonas etc that you are not using at the time and after they have been washed, should be put into airtight garbage or storage bags and tied tightly. Put them away somewhere until you need to use them.

Make up a spray solution of a few drops only of T-tree and Eucalyptus oils and after vacuuming your room, spray it over the floor, under the bed, along the skirting boards and where the floor meets the wall, and in the corners.

Have a shower/bath and leave your ACV on, then get into a bed that should be mite free.

If you are still itchy ( but should not be much), keep doing the body rinse everyday for at least 10 days, vacuum your room each day, and spray the mattress every 3 days. Believe me, whatever you have now, you won't have it for long.

2) A good friend gave me her near new innerspring mattress that had been covered in plastic and stored in her shed for 6 months.

We manouvered it into my bedroom and I made the bed and looked forward to sleeping in it and around 3am I woke up feeling I was being eaten alive. It turned out to have dust mites on the mattress so I researched and found the solution. Which I had to do for a couple of weeks until I could sleep without itching.

The solution is as I have described to you.

If you have queries or any other questions please don't hesitate to ask.

The solution to all this may sound difficult but at the end of it you will have a clean room where no mites can live, and you will have a terrific nights sleep.

As an alternative to Eucalyptus oil you can try lemon oil..

Happy sleeping ..

HI U MARY, , , , , , , as I learned when I read Hulda Clark's book..... if you have house pets, then you have the same parasites. That is the reason that after 46 years, my wife's cats are now outside.

Your doctor has no clue. Med schools do not teach that course as your doctor told you.

Thank you Jesus, for the revelation of common sense. It's still a Sheet +2=8 thing.

Decades ago I acquired lice. An exterminator told me to go to the laundramat with 2 plastic bags. One for clothes I would be wearing for 3 days, and one for after a shower. Put them both in the trunk. Go home and do the lice treatment in the bathroom; dress with clothing from the small bag; when done - walk straight out the door touching nothing. Stay gone for 3 full days (72 hours). These critters need a blood host and die after 3 days of no blood. It worked.

So when we contracted skin mites we did the same thing. Treated ourselves, went to a motel (one that takes dogs) for 3 days, treated ourselves again before we went home, and after we got home we treated ourselves again in another 3 days. We are free at last. Residual inflammation will make you itch for another few days. lf itching seems to increase - douse yourself again. The directions say every 7-10 days. Do not believe this. You want to catch the newly hatched that managed to survive before they drop off of you.

You can buy Perithrin 1% in the form of lice medicine off the shelf for $18 for a 2 pack. No doctor bill or expensive prescription ($100+ without insurance). This was the easiest way. Good Luck.

No need to banish pets outside! House pets who may have parasites can be treated effectively with diatomaceous earth, both externally and internally. People too! It's a cheap and effective remedy that's been used for ages. I love it and have my family (humans, our cat and dogs) on it daily. Research the health benefits on the internet!

HI U ELLEN, , , , , what you just told the world is that you cleaned up your home but contaminated a hotel room for others to get the same mites that you had.

Pyrethrin 1% is a joke as all on this site knows. It takes 10% to kill mites.

HI U MARY, , , , , , , , , , , quit right now, you are breaking my heart. You really must love that dog.

What my wife learned is that her outside cats love her far more than the ones she kept inside. It's a conditioned feeding thing. They learned that they must depend on her to feed them.

Anyway, I wish you, your dog and all the mites the very best. Sorry if I roughed you up, but that's just the way I ams.

I experienced mites once and that is all the experience I want. Oh, and I think I got them from a hotel room. Maybe the one Ellen used.
