Fibroids and BP Meds Causing Constant Breakthrough Bleeding

Posted By Kate (Texas) on 10/01/2018

Fibroids/bp meds:

So I was diagnosed with fibroids. Nothing too urgent or the gyn. My periods were normal etc. I was put on bp Med called nifedipine (calcium channel blocker) and ever since I have constant break through bleeding. It's frustrating and severe. What would you recommend taking to get me back in balance? I've stopped taking the bp meds because I can't live like this.

So if you have a dual suggestion to take care of both, I would appreciate it.

Hello Kate,

Hawthorn is well known for assisting the heart and regulating blood pressure, might try adding serrapeptase to cleanse the arteries, this must be taken on an empty stomach, if you have poor digestion it won't help even if you take first thing in the morning, you have to improve digestion first. Iodine will help with the fibroids, you could apply topically over the area with some DMSO for absorption (research), or take internally with the companion nutrients, which are required for best absorption and to clean up the detox effects, see iodine pages here on EC for info. I no longer have excessive menstruation thanks to daily herbal infusion, but previously I would take a tsp of coconut oil or nibble some shepherds purse weed from the garden (you can buy extract) when it was too much. Best to you.
