Questions Regarding Effectiveness of Acupuncture for Candida

Dear Bill, First many thanks to you and Ted for your vast knowledge, also to Earth Clinic for this valuable place that shares immeasurable wisdom.

I'm 59 and have had little but not concerning issues since my 20s. I was given antibiotics as a child & adult (ear, sinus & vaginal infections). Three years ago it began with menorrhagia and the prescribed lysteda caused a burning/throbbing/intense itch in left thigh and calf. A month later I had emergency hemorrhoid surgery. Two months later an ablation for the return of menorrhagia and severe anemia. Five months latee there was severe pain at the lower right side below ribs. A colonoscopy was ordered to rule out cancer. the next day I was doubled over in pain and couldn't eat or drink without doubling over in pain for 2 months. Weight decreased to 90 pounds from 108. I believe the colonoscopy cleaned out what little good bacteria was left.

Back to my holistic healers who realized my illeocecial valve was opened. A stool culture identified extreme sensitivity to gluten. Avoiding it worked and have since gained 8 pounds. Lately my immune system is low - 5 types of flu in Nov & Dec; whooping cough in Oct.

I just began seeing an acupuncturist who performed muscle testing and believes all my sensitivites (fumes, smoke, food, allergies, etc) are due to candida. He believes 15 sessions of acupuncture, diet & herbs will alleviate it. In his diet, I can eat banana, spelt bread, carrots, beets - foods that have sugar!

I've practiced a candida diet 3 times over the past 25 years; also did the same type acupuncture a couple years ago and felt much better. A short term fix is a nice reprieve but I want to eradicate this candida once and for all.

Do you recommend acupuncture, diet & herbs to rid candida completely? What is your favorite method of choice for excellent results? Would the turp protocol benefit me more than needles? Any other thoughts or suggestions?

The cost of this acupuncture protocol is $1,425 and doesn't include the herbs. After not being able to work for 2 years, the price is too much at this time. I just want to get my life back to normal as quickly as possible.

Many, many thanks for your help.
