Randall, you could try eliminating sugar, dairy and grains for one week and see how you respond.Replied by Ben (Kansas) on 03/29/2017
I often feel very tired after eating as well. I have discovered that it only happens after eating a high fat meal. When eating a low fat meal, I am fine.Replied by Magnolia16 (Virginia) on 03/30/2017
I find that if I eat a high carb/high sugar breakfast that it makes me very sleepy and almost weak to the point of needing to lie down. Sometimes this I can feel this way after eating the same type of things at lunch time, but as the day progresses it doesn't bother me as much. I need as much protein as possible in the first 8 hours of the day to avoid this. I have also found that eating extra salt helps - just 1/8 teaspoon will do it. Ezekiel bread is much better for me than any other kind of bread. My best breakfast is a slice of Ezekiel bread and an egg. The less sugar I eat all day, the better. If I eat an apple or pear at lunchtime, I definitely need the extra salt to counteract the sugar. Himalayan salt does the trick for me. I wish I knew why the salt helps so much. Just discovered this in past few months.
