I have keratosis pilaris but I don't have just the chicken-like skin, I also have very red cheeks to go along with it. This is called Keratosis pilaris rubra faceii and I was just wondering if anyone knows of any ways to treat this.

I USED TO HAVE keratosis pilaris. I gave up eating wheat (and now all grains) and it cleared up dramatically-totally gone in 3 months. In the meantime and if you won't give up bread/pasta - use ACV or use a product with salacytic acid 2% to get the skin peeling so the hair folicles are not blocked. All kinds of health problems have cleared up since I gave up all grains- the chicken skin on the back of my arms is gone, my Dr. has lowered my thyroid medicine (I have auto-immune hashimotos). I do not have swollen ankles nor do I have those daily pesky aches and pains I was attributing to old age. I can work out for an hour on the machines a the gym (I am almost 49) and not be sore at all the next day. I am thinking that giving up grains lowered the inflammation levels in my body. So if you have any type of autoimmune disorder (or the chicken skin) give it a try for a couple of weeks and see if it helps.
